This event, sponsored by Tenerife Tourism, Schwepes and Iberia is a multi cultural competition to determine the best Volleyball playing country within Europe. Isla Baja is an unique area of Tenerife that includes Buenavista del Norte, El Tanque, Garachico and Los Silos municipalities. Guaranteed to be a delight for the whole family, the show itself is a mix of entertainment and hilarity, with snow being the basis of the show. Eolica 2009

18th July 2009 – Granadilla

Eolica, one of Tenerife’s two major festivals is used to increase awarness about the usage of renewable energies.

With 4 different stages, encompassing experimental music, rock, rap, dance and much more, you can be assured that there is something for everyone within the festival.

Last years event was a lot of fun, with the well known movie star Juliette Lewis bringing her band (Juliette & The Licks) and their unique brand of rock as headliners.

Asian Dub Foundation from the UK were secondary healiners.

This year is shaping up to be as good as, if not better than last years festival, with UK act alternative rock band Teenage Fanclub headlining.

The event itself is being held at the Eolica Park in Granadilla once again, and tickets are available with and without transport (bus rides from Santa Cruz and Los Cristianos).
